Tour Details

Take your next tour to the rolling landscape of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, “a very special, very wonderful place”, quintessentially English with chocolate box villages and, lively market towns.

We base the tour on the outskirts of the cathedral city of Gloucester, in a recently refurbished, former manor house, set in 12 acres of Cotswold Greenery.

Cotswolds Highlights

  • Covering 800 square miles, running through five counties (Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire)

  • Explore different ‘wolds’ areas defined by classic Cotswold features of golden stone and rolling hills as you journey out to visit partner clubs

  • Venture to some of the greatest palaces, castles and country houses

  • Visit acclaimed reserves and famous arboreta’s in breath-taking landscapes

  • Take a tour of Poldark’s Elizabethan country manor 'Chavenage House'

  • Travel further afield to Ross-on-Wye, the stunning gateway to the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

    Please note the below suggested experience and fixtures are subject to availability, and can be amended to suit the needs of your group.

    Day 1

    10:00 (TBC): Pick Up at your club or location of choice.

    Stop off en-route for lunch and an explore. OR Play a fixture in the afternoon on your way to the hotel.

    Day 2

    Follow in famous footsteps and escape into the peaceful surroundings of an attractive Cotswolds manor virtually unchanged for 400 years at Chavenage House.

    14:00: Afternoon match.
    A buffet lunch can be arranged in advance.

    19:30: 3 Course Dinner at the hotel

    Day 3

    After an afternoon fixture and a light lunch, the coach will take you on a short tour of the Cotswolds, before heading back to relax at the hotel.

    Day 4

    Why not venture further afield to Herefordshire and the Wye Valley? Spending the morning in the town of Ross-on-Wye.

    On our final day, we can depart the hotel after a leisurely breakfast.

    If you prefer a specific fixture with a club you know, you may include this in your notes when requesting a booking with us and we will be happy to make the arrangements.

    Our Bowls Club spent 5 days / 4 nights on a Tour to Worcester in September. All the arrangements were made by Bowling Tours....who were friendly, helpful and very efficient, taking great care to support me as this was the first Tour I had been responsible for. Answering all my questions and providing excellent advice. Our hotel in Worcester (The Whitehouse) was welcoming and comfortable.....excellent food and friendly staff. A great location to use as a base to play matches against local Clubs. Our group, of just 24 members, had a great time - and the amazing weather enabled us to enjoy some of the sights of Worcester in our free time.... Thank You !

    Thank you Bowling Tours for arranging our hotel in Cornwall. 40 of us stayed at the Esplanade Hotel in Newquay for 5 nights. The staff were extremely helpful, all the rooms were excellent, the food was of a very high quality and the entertainment first rate.     We have just returned from a four-day tour organised by Bowling Tours. We stayed at the Queen's Hotel in Paignton which was an excellent hotel - great food and entertainment and the staff couldn't do enough to help - we highly recommend it. The coach and driver were very good. There was good communication with Kahing and the team at Bowling Tours which helped make the whole weekend go very smoothly.
