Brooklands, the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit, constructed at Weybridge, Surrey in 1907 - was more than a great sporting arena. Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, home of Concorde and the site of many engineering and technological achievements throughout eight decades of the 20th century.

The Museum displays a wide range of Brooklands-related motoring and aviation exhibits ranging from giant racing cars, motorcycles and bicycles to an unparalleled collection of Hawker and Vickers/ BAC-built aircraft including the First world war Vickers Vimy bomber, the Viking, Varsity, Viscount, Vanguard, VC10, BAC One-Eleven and the only Concorde with public access in South East England.

You can also visit the London Bus Museum which houses a remarkable collection of around 35 buses and coaches, the largest collection of working historic London buses in the world.

A range of special events are held throughout the year.

The Concorde Experience (additional costs apply)
Take the Brooklands Concorde Experience and see inside the world’s most famous aircraft! Re-live the excitement of the supersonic age in this fascinating 35-minute visit. The rear cabin of Concorde features an exhibition of Concorde’s design and development, and history in service with British Airways. In particular there are references to Brooklands’ considerable Concorde heritage and a video showing how Concorde was brought to the Museum and restored. After passing through a display of Concorde seating since 1976 you will be invited to move to the front cabin which is laid out as she was in flying days. Take your seat and prepare for your virtual flight, evoking emotional memories, and piloted by Capt. Mike Bannister, British Airways Chief Concorde Pilot.

Brooklands Museum is a large open air museum with many period buildings and exhibits, some with stepped access. All exhibits are wheelchair accessible. However there is no wheelchair access on board our aeroplanes, which all have steps (including Concorde). The Concorde Simulator is fully accessible with ramped access.

  • A 20 minute introduction talk, then free flow visit. A voucher for tea or coffee and cake is also provided.
